Beckstoffer To Kalon is one of the most coveted vineyard addresses in the New World. Only a handful of producers have ever had access to it — names like Realm, Schrader, and Paul Hobbs. For a brief window, Guarachi was among them. Winemaker Julian Gonzalez, who spent years leading all Paul Hobbs Consulting programs before taking the helm at Guarachi, knew this site intimately. The 2017 is the last vintage we produced from To Kalon, and very little of it remains.

Tasting Notes: Opulent blackberry, plum, sweet pipe tobacco, and a striking minerality on the nose. Dense and structured on the palate with cassis, dark chocolate, and espresso — held together by fine-grained tannins and a long, mineral finish. Aged 24 months in 100% French oak.

Pairs well with: Ribeye, braised lamb, aged pecorino.
