Heritage Cabernet Sauvignon
Heritage Single Vineyard — Limited Production
Current release: 2023
RATINGS: 99 Tasting Panel, 94 Wine Enthusiast
Each harvest, Julian Gonzales walks every block of Meadowrock Vineyard and selects the single finest section of the estate. That fruit — the most concentrated, most structured, most expressive of the vintage — becomes the Heritage Cabernet Sauvignon. Produced in extremely limited quantities, it is the definitive expression of Meadowrock at its best.
Grown on volcanic soils between 1,400 and 1,760 feet elevation in Napa's Atlas Peak AVA, the Heritage Cabernet delivers everything the estate is capable of — intensity, minerality, and a depth of structure that demands cellaring but rewards patience generously.
Tasting Notes: Concentrated blackcurrant, dark cherry, volcanic iron, cedar, and dark chocolate with powerful but refined tannins and an extraordinarily long finish.
Pairs well with: Dry-aged ribeye, braised short rib, lamb rack, aged hard cheeses.
For maximum enjoyment: Allow the wine to breathe for at least 30 minutes, decant, and cool until 58 degrees Fahrenheit
