Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2007

As the most famous American wine region, Napa Valley is known for producing the highest quality Cabernet Sauvignon. Our Cabernet Sauvignon is created with the finest resources that Napa has to offer.

This 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is an opaque, purple color with focused fruits such as cherry and blackberry yielding to long and supple tannins on the palate.

Napa Valley enjoys a Mediterranean climate with a long growing season that is marked by warm, summer days and cool evenings. These climate conditions are ideal for grapes to ripen slowly and evenly; promoting a balance between sugar and acid development. We experienced climate conditions that reaffirm Napa Valley’s excellent reputation for grape growing. The 2007 growing season for our Cabernet Sauvignon started hot but yielded to long, temperate days with cooler nights. Ultimately, the steady temperatures allowed the grapes to reach maturity with a long, slow even-ripening.

The area has a unique terroir with over half of the world’s soil orders located in an area one-eighth the size of Bordeaux. The well drained soil is composed of gravel, loam and sand rich in volcanic deposits and marine sediments. We tried to capture the harmonious diversity of this terroir with our wine.

Guarachi Family Wines’ Cabernet Sauvignon is from the Georges III, Lincoln, and Winfield Vineyards in Napa Valley. The Georges III vineyard in Napa’s Rutherford is the most prominent. It once belonged to the historic Beaulieu Vineyard, which was originally planted by Georges DeLatour of Beaulieu in 1928.

In September 2007, our grapes were harvested and a total of 23.23 tons were extracted from these vineyards, producing a limited 2,539 cases. Our 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon underwent malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels and was aged for 18 months.

This 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon is an opaque, purple color with focused fruits such as cherry and blackberry yielding to long and supple tannins on the palate. This is a complex, dense and powerful wine that can cellar for at least 10 years.
